Good morning Year 3!
It is the last day of term! Below are your final daily tasks for year 3! We hope you enjoy them.
Today, we want you to write a superhero story!
Using the superhero you created yesterday, write a story about them. Think about all the things you have learnt about writing stories (5 parts, paragraphs, speech, subordinating conjunctions etc)
Online option: Write your story on the 2do task that we have set on Purple Mash.
In this lesson, you will use your knowledge of addition whilst solving an investigation.
The skills needed for this investigation are very similar to those that we use in the 'target number' and 'don't say 20' games that we play in school!
Activity 1 – Read the 'Got it' investigation instructions using this link: https://nrich.maths.org/10078
Activity 2 - Play the game with an adult at home or against the computer using this link: https://nrich.maths.org/gotit/ If you are using the interactive version of the game, you can change the target numbers using the 'settings' button.
Activity 3 - Leave a comment on the reflection blog on Purple Mash to tell us how you have found your maths learning this week and what you have enjoyed learning the most in maths in year 3!
Activity 1 – Play the 'Got it' game with someone at home. The instructions are explained in the document below. You need to download the file to see the instructions.
Activity 2 – Write a reflection comment on paper at home to tell us how you have found your maths learning this week and what you have enjoyed learning the most in maths in year 3!
Today, we want you to write a letter to yourself that you can open in a years' time (at the end of year 4). Make sure you write your dreams and goals in that letter and explain how you plan on achieving them. You can also include memories from this year, at school or at home during the pandemic. Once you have written your letter, place it in an envelope and put it away somewhere special. Don't forget about it! It will be a nice memory to have.
Hope you enjoy your tasks for today. Remember to try and follow the suggested daily timetable to keep your mind and body healthy. Have a good day!
